About me
I’m a science and environmental journalist based in the Midwestern U.S. As a freelancer, I've written news and feature stories for National Geographic, Scientific American, Smithsonian, Science, Hakai, Undark and other outlets. I'm also an audio producer and reporter for NASA’s flagship agency podcast, Curious Universe.
I write a semi-regular Substack newsletter, The Science Reporter's Cut, that takes a behind-the-scenes look at science journalism.
Get in touch
I'm always available for freelance assignments, especially covering the Earth sciences, climate change, and the history and culture of science and its intersection with society.
